Enrolled patients
Enrolment is currently available to Auckland residents only. An enrolled patient is someone who has chosen Tend as their primary care provider.
Anna Davidson loves working as a nurse practitioner. She merges medicine with people, adapts to different situations and patients, and works holistically with individuals to improve their health and wellness. Anna also takes the time to educate her patients so that they understand the what and why of their conditions and treatment.
She embarked on an OE to England for a year, and returned home after 6 years. During her travels, she spent 6 weeks in Africa and was asked by a local community to help at their medical center, as they only had one GP. The available medications were limited to paracetamol and anti-malarial treatments. If someone was severely unwell, they had to wait for 3 days to be taken to a hospital, as there was no transport or ambulance available. This experience opened Anna's eyes to how fortunate she and others are.
In her previous practice, Anna tended to focus on women's and mental health issues. Being the only female practitioner, she naturally dealt with more women's health cases. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a diabetes nurse specialist in the community. However, cardiology and women's health are her favorite areas.
When she's not at work, Anna enjoys spending time outdoors with her partner and son. They enjoy bike rides, soaking in the sunshine, and exploring their own backyard.
