Alexander Fala
Alex has spent his career helping Kiwi companies reach world-class performance. Beginning at McKinsey & Company, he went on to hold senior executive roles at Trade Me, Vend and Les Mills International, before serving as CEO of both Vend and Syft Technologies.
As CFO of Tend, Alex leads the company’s financial strategy and acquisition programme, working alongside Tend’s iwi partners and the broader medical sector to support sustainable growth and continuity of care for patients and whānau across Aotearoa.
Having experienced Tend’s care firsthand as a patient, Alex is passionate about the role business can play in transforming healthcare - one of New Zealand’s most pressing national priorities.
A proud Kiwi with Samoan heritage, Alex attended the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar - only the second person of Pacific Island ancestry to receive the scholarship. He is married to Clare and has three children.
