Tend Health has today welcomed The Doctors following completion of its acquisition of Green Cross Health’s medical division.

Tend Co-CEOs and co-founders Cecilia and James Robinson said the immediate priority was supporting patients and teams through the ownership transition while maintaining continuity of care.

The Doctors and Tend will continue operating under their respective brands. Any future changes would be carefully considered and communicated to patients and team members at the appropriate time.

Tend has also welcomed Stephen McKernan QSO and Tim Fitzgerald to its board as representatives of Ngāi Tahu Holdings, which has increased its investment in Tend.

Stephen McKernan is a former New Zealand Director General of Health and Chief Executive of Counties Manukau and Hutt Valley District Health Boards. He brings more than 30 years of senior health system, governance and advisory experience.

Tim Fitzgerald brings significant commercial and investment experience through his role with Ngāi Tahu Holdings.
