Enrolled patients
Enrolment is currently available to residents in Auckland, Bay of Plenty and Canterbury. An enrolled patient is someone who has chosen Tend as their primary care provider.

You can’t fake culture. It shows up in the small moments every day, how someone is greeted at reception, how a nurse explains what’s happening, how a doctor listens. Patients feel it. Our team feels it. It shapes trust, safety and care.
At Tend, we believe the way we treat each other as colleagues directly shapes the care we provide to our patients and whānau. The two are inseparable. When people feel respected, supported and safe at work, that care shows up clearly in how they look after others.
Our purpose is to help New Zealanders be the healthiest people in the world. That is ambitious, and it starts inside our organisation, with how we show up for each other every day.
We expect everyone at Tend to act with professionalism, integrity and care. That means treating others with respect, speaking up when something isn’t right and taking responsibility for our behaviour.
These expectations apply to every interaction, with colleagues, with patients and whānau and with our partners and contractors. Respect is not situational. It does not change depending on role, seniority or circumstance.
This applies to leadership and senior clinical roles in particular. Culture is set from the top, and we hold ourselves to the same standards we expect of everyone else.
There is no place at Tend for sexism, racism, bullying, harassment, intimidation or any form of discriminatory behaviour.
As Tend grows and new clinics join our network, we are intentional about setting clear expectations and consistently applying our standards across all sites. Behaviours that do not align with our values are addressed promptly and appropriately.
Because values only matter if they are lived.
As our network expands, it is important to be clear, for our team, our patients and whānau, and anyone considering joining Tend, about the culture we expect and the environment we are committed to building.
If you are a patient at Tend, you should expect to be treated with dignity, respect and professionalism. If you are thinking about joining us, you should be clear on the standards we expect and the culture we are committed to maintaining.
We are proud of the culture we are building, and we are committed to upholding it as we continue to grow.
Ngā mihi,
Cecilia and James
