Aaron is a New Zealand clinical psychologist and online Health Improvement Practitioner with Tend. Originally from the South Island, he has over 30 years’ experience working in adult mental health services in both the UK and New Zealand.

His therapeutic expertise includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and brief behavioural interventions. Aaron’s approach focuses not only on addressing challenges such as depression, anxiety, family pressures and workplace burnout - but also on building a life with meaning, balance and connection. Alongside his clinical work, he teaches, supervises, and mentors other health professionals.

Aaron is committed to supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing in ways that are practical, evidence-based, and tailored to the individual. His focus is on helping people achieve meaningful, sustainable change, drawing on decades of clinical experience to provide guidance that truly works in everyday life.

In his spare time, Aaron enjoys slow cooking, outdoor activities, travel, Pilates, and spending quality time with friends and family.

For over 30 years I’ve had the privilege of working as a clinical psychologist. I love helping people improve their wellbeing and I’m dedicated to providing care grounded in the best of psychological science.
