Dr Abi was drawn to medicine through a love of science, problem-solving and connecting with people. She completed her medical degree at the University of Birmingham in 2011 and later completed her GP training in Manchester in 2017. What she enjoys most about general practice is the variety of care it offers and the opportunity to support patients in a holistic and approachable way.

Her areas of interest include preventative and lifestyle medicine, women’s health, mental health and supporting patients with long-term wellbeing goals. Abi also has a strong interest in psychology, mental wellbeing and the connection between physical and mental health. She enjoys helping people better understand their health and working together to find practical, achievable steps that fit into everyday life.

Outside of work, Abi enjoys powerlifting, hiking, travelling, live music and exploring different cultures and cuisines.

I find it rewarding supporting patients through different stages of life, helping them understand their health and working together on practical solutions to improve their wellbeing.
