Barbara Lowe
Barbara is a designated nurse prescriber working across Tend Kingsland and Tend Symonds Street. She began her nursing career at Middlemore Hospital before moving into private cardiology and has since spent over a decade supporting high-needs patients, including Pacific communities and university students.
Barbara has a strong interest in health education and disease prevention, with a focus on contraception, early pregnancy care, smoking cessation, adolescent sexual health and chronic condition management. She is also experienced in wound care, vaccinations and is developing her skills in travel medicine.
She values empowering patients through knowledge, helping them make informed choices to improve their long-term health. Outside of work, Barbara enjoys yoga, nature walks, local markets and Auckland’s café and film scene.
