Barbara Torres

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Barbara qualified as a nurse in 2014 and spent five years working across a range of clinical settings before moving to New Zealand. She began her New Zealand healthcare journey as a caregiver before becoming a registered nurse, continuing a career built on compassion, lifelong learning and a genuine desire to help others.
Barbara has particular interests in women's health, sexual health, and patient education. She enjoys building connections with patients and finds it rewarding to make a positive difference in people's lives through compassionate, supportive care.
Outside of work, she enjoys keeping active at the gym, watching a good scary movie and spending quality time with family and friends.
