Emily was drawn to nursing by her love of caring for and connecting with people and whānau. With a strong interest in health and wellbeing, she completed her nursing studies at Ara Institute, choosing a career that allows her to support people in meaningful and practical ways.

She has particular interests in women’s health, sexual health and immunisations. Emily finds her work most rewarding when she can build trusting relationships with patients and know her care has made a positive difference to their wellbeing.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys being active and outdoors. You’ll often find her tramping, enjoying water sports, playing volleyball or netball and spending time with friends and family.

Making a positive impact in someone’s life is deeply fulfilling, especially knowing my work supports people’s health and wellbeing while allowing me to connect with them and build meaningful therapeutic relationships.
