Emma is our Extended Care Paramedic (ECP) at Tend Linwood. Her Journey into healthcare began in a small rural community where she volunteered with the ambulance service and developed a strong commitment to helping others. She went on to build her career in paramedicine and has worked as an Extended Care Paramedic since 2022. Through this role, she developed a strong focus on prevention, early intervention and reducing avoidable hospital admissions, which led her into primary care.

Her clinical interests include supporting Māori and Pacific communities by improving access to care and reducing barriers to treatment. She is also passionate about palliative care, where she supports patients and their whānau through some of life’s most important and sensitive stages. Emma also has a strong interest in chronic disease management, particularly COPD and diabetes, with a focus on education and prevention to support long-term health.

Outside of work, she enjoys an active lifestyle and spending time outdoors. She likes travelling around Aotearoa with her children, as well as reading, listening to music and spending quality time with family and friends.

I enjoy supporting people to feel informed and empowered in their health, with care that focuses on prevention, connection and long-term wellbeing.
