Erica started her nursing career at Tauranga Hospital and transitioned to primary care in 2008. Her duties were vast and varied, including running ear clinics, assisting in skin surgery, and contributing significantly to both acute and primary healthcare services.

A trained Ear Nurse, she likes the practical aspects of nursing, finding procedures like biopsies, casting, ear suction, and suturing particularly rewarding.

Whether it’s providing care for those in need or promoting health to prevent illness, her dedication shines through. Her philosophy is simple yet profound: no day is the same, and nothing is better than seeing a happy patient.

Outside nursing, Erica embraces beach life with her two young children and a very demanding princess cocker spaniel.

I have always enjoyed helping people. Whether that includes caring for patients when they are poorly or assisting them to stay well with health promotion measures. Every day is different and nothing is better than seeing a happy patient.
