Helen’s own experience of moving from Vietnam to New Zealand as a teenager shaped her understanding of how important compassion and connection can be when you are in an unfamiliar place. She began her Bachelor of Nursing in Australia before returning to New Zealand to complete her degree.

She has a particular interest in child and family health, wound care and minor procedures. Having experienced different cultures and healthcare systems herself, Helen understands that seeking care can sometimes feel overwhelming. She is passionate about providing care that is compassionate, culturally safe and tailored to each person.

Outside of work, Helen enjoys spending time with loved ones, exploring new places and discovering the beauty of New Zealand. She values slowing down, appreciating the simple things and creating meaningful memories with the people around her.

I understand how important it is to feel welcomed and understood when accessing healthcare, and I want every patient to feel safe, respected and cared for.
