Jax has worked across the health sector for more than 30 years, beginning with St John in rural Northland before moving into frontline paramedicine in Auckland. After relocating to Timaru, Jax retrained in nursing and completed Nurse Practitioner training through the University of Otago in 2020.

Jax has a broad range of clinical interests, including acute care, sexual health, acute pain, wound care and palliative care. She particularly enjoy the variety of acute care and the opportunity to support people at different stages of life. Jax is also passionate about improving equity and health outcomes and finding better ways to deliver care.

Outside of work, Jax enjoys spending time with whānau, mountain biking, travelling and crocheting amigurumi characters.

I value building genuine connections with patients and whānau and working alongside them to support better health outcomes.
