Johanna Lim

Johanna is an online pharmacist prescriber at Tend with extensive experience in cardiology and primary care. She began her career as a pharmacist at Hawkes Bay Hospital and became one of New Zealand’s first registered pharmacist prescribers. Johanna then worked for eight years at North Shore Hospital in Auckland as a specialist cardiology pharmacist and pharmacist prescriber before returning to Hawkes Bay to focus on primary care as a cardiology expert and pharmacist prescriber.

Her clinical interests include cardiology and cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic diseases, with a strong focus on reducing gaps in health equity. Johanna is motivated by the complexity of heart health and the opportunity to improve outcomes for patients, especially in addressing disparities in cardiovascular disease.

She enjoys working closely with patients and their whānau to set shared therapy goals and finds it fulfilling to see patients achieve better health outcomes. Johanna values collaboration with the wider healthcare team in delivering care.

Outside of work, Johanna enjoys travelling, exploring new cultures, running, hiking, and spending time with loved ones.
