Lee-Hon chose nursing as a career where she could grow professionally while making a real difference in people’s lives. She completed her undergraduate studies at Unitec and later went on to complete a Master’s degree at the University of Auckland to further develop her clinical knowledge and skills.

She enjoys the balance of primary and urgent care nursing. In primary care, she values the opportunity to build ongoing relationships and support patients over time. In urgent care, she thrives in the fast-paced environment and the need for clear, timely decision-making. Her areas of interest include women’s health, sexual health, travel health, wound care, immunisations and long-term condition management.

Lee-Hon finds it rewarding to provide reassurance and comfort during times of illness and is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Outside of work, she enjoys walking her dog, travelling, spending time with family and friends while exploring creative hobbies such as painting, sketching and scrapbooking.

As a primary care nurse, I enjoy developing meaningful rapport with patients over time. Continuity of care allows me to understand their individual needs, and I find great reward in providing reassurance, comfort and relief during times of illness.
