Matthew became a doctor because he wanted to make a positive difference in his community. He completed his medical degree at the University of Auckland and began his career in paediatrics before moving into urgent care, where he enjoys caring for patients with a wide range of health concerns.
Matthew has a particular interest in children's health and believes that giving children the best possible start in life can have a lasting impact on their future. He enjoys helping patients feel reassured and supported, knowing that even a small improvement can make a big difference to someone's day.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys swimming, hiking, walking and spending time with friends playing card games.
