Nikki was inspired to become a nurse by watching her mum’s career and the positive impact she had on others. She completed her nursing training at Christchurch Polytechnic (now Ara) in 2000 and has since built a broad, diverse career across community healthcare.

She is passionate about providing personalised care and enjoys working closely with patients over time. Nikki has particular interests in child health, women’s health including sexual health and menopause, chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes, health promotion and mental health.

Nikki finds it rewarding to support people on their health journeys, helping them work toward goals big or small while staying up to date with best practice. She focuses on empowering patients to understand and take charge of their health so they can live life to the fullest.

Outside of work, Nikki enjoys travelling and learning about different cultures, exploring Canterbury’s great walks and spending time with friends and family.

I enjoy supporting people to reach their health goals and helping them feel confident and informed about their wellbeing.
