Paula is a General Practitioner and the Group Clinical Director for Tend Tauranga. She has a diverse background spanning primary care, medical education, forensic medicine and healthcare leadership. Originally from the UK, she recently relocated to Tauranga from Whakatāne with her husband. She completed her GP training in 2014 and has gained memberships to the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners in the UK and NZ.

Paula has a special interest in women’s health and helping patients with long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) options like the Mirena and copper coil. Additionally, Paula is a member of SAATS (Sexual Abuse and Treatment Services) and provides care for patients affected by sexual abuse through Tautoko Mai Sexual Harm Support.

Outside of medicine, Paula enjoys sailing, yoga and spending time outdoors with her husband. She also pursues pottery as a creative outlet and has two grown sons.

I am committed to supporting both patients and future doctors, striving to improve healthcare through education, leadership and compassionate care.
