Penny’s inspiration to become a nurse came from a close family friend who showed her how rewarding and far-reaching a nursing career could be. She completed her hospital-based training at Taumarunui Hospital Board in 1985.

Over the years, Penny has developed a passion for preventive health and patient education. Her key areas of interest include immunisation, cervical screening, diabetes management and asthma education.

Penny enjoys being part of a skilled, supportive team that works together to improve patients’ health and wellbeing every day.

In her spare time you can find Penny spending time with her family, travelling, reading, watching sports, doing crafts and especially becoming a grandmother.

I love being part of a team that helps people take charge of their health and make lasting improvements to their wellbeing.
