Tom grew up in the Midlands in the UK before studying medicine in Leeds, combining his interest in science with working closely with people. After graduating, he completed several hospital rotations in general medicine, elderly medicine and emergency medicine. During this time, he developed an interest in infectious diseases and went on to complete a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene before moving to Auckland in October 2023.

Tom has a particular interest in travel medicine and urgent care. He enjoys the challenge of diagnosing and managing a wide range of conditions and values clear, open communication with his patients.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys hiking, travelling, and has recently taken up sea swimming since moving to New Zealand.

I enjoy building rapport with patients and continuing to learn so I can provide the best possible care.

Urgent care
Urgent care is for when you've had an accident that's resulted in an injury or an illness that needs same-day care but are not serious enough for the Emergency Department.
