Tonya Cockcroft

Tonya is an online clinical pharmacist. Her path into healthcare was shaped by a lifelong interest in science and people, with a belief that health is a gift to be nurtured. She completed her training at the Medical University of South Carolina and is passionate about helping patients achieve their health goals through safe, effective and optimised medication use.

Her areas of interest include older people's health and diabetes management. Tonya is passionate about ensuring older adults receive appropriate treatment tailored to their individual needs and supporting patients with diabetes to optimise their health with the wide range of treatment options now available.

She values collaborative care and finds it rewarding to educate patients about their medications, helping them make informed decisions and improve their quality of life.

In her spare time you'll find Tonya in the ocean scuba diving, paddleboarding, snorkelling or fishing. She also loves travelling, spending time with her family and exploring new places around Aotearoa with her partner.
