Tracey is an online pharmacist prescriber at Tend. She graduated with distinction from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Pharmacy and has worked as a pharmacist in Auckland before moving to Hawkes Bay in 2021 to take on a role as a GP pharmacist. In 2023, Tracey completed the pharmacist prescribing course.

Her clinical interests include type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular risk management and gout. These areas aligned with her training as a pharmacist prescriber and identified high-need health priorities in the Hawkes Bay region and her practice.

Tracey values being part of patients’ health journeys and seeing tangible improvements, such as helping people with poorly controlled diabetes achieve their target HbA1c through better healthcare access.

Outside of work, Tracey enjoys travelling, having backpacked around the world for two years and visited around 50 countries. She also enjoys walking and hiking with her dog, exploring new restaurants with friend and gardening - including growing her own fruit trees and vegetables.

She speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

I enjoy following a patient's journey to better health and see how they improve with better access to healthcare. For example following a patient's diabetes journey and seeing them achieve their target HbA1c from being poorly controlled diabetics.
