Dr. Wannes Maertens

Growing up in a small village in Belgium, Wannes was surrounded by a strong sense of community and a large circle of friends before moving to Ghent to study medicine. He has always enjoyed being around people and connecting with others, which naturally drew him towards general practice.

Wannes has particular interests in musculoskeletal conditions and minor procedures. He finds general practice rewarding because it allows him to support patients through both significant life moments and the everyday experiences that matter just as much.

Outside of the clinic, Wannes loves music. You'll find him attending live concerts and playing bass guitar, as well as spending time outdoors hiking, exploring nature and swimming whenever he can.
