Enrolment is currently available to residents in Auckland, Bay of Plenty and Canterbury. An enrolled patient is someone who has chosen Tend as their primary care provider.
Tend provides support to patients throughout Aotearoa on a casual basis. A casual patient is someone who has not chosen Tend as their primary care provider.
If you're enrolled with Tend and take long-term medication for an ongoing condition, your prescriptions will be preloaded in the “Medications” tab of the Tend app.
Ordering a repeat prescription:
Click “Request medication” on the home screen.
Select the medications you need (you can choose multiple if applicable).
Let us know if anything has changed since your last prescription.
Choose your preferred pharmacy (your default will be pre-selected).
Confirm your request
You can track the progress under the “Orders” tab
If you need a new medication or your list isn’t up to date, you'll need a consultation with a clinician.
Clinical reviews for long-term medications
Depending on your condition and how long it has been since your last consultation, we may need to see you for a clinical review before reissuing a prescription.
The Medical Council of New Zealand requires doctors to regularly assess patients on long-term medications to ensure they are still appropriate for their health needs. These reviews help monitor any changes in your condition, check for potential side effects, and ensure your medication is providing the best possible outcomes.
If a consultation is required, you’ll be charged the standard 15-minute GP consultation fee—not the repeat prescription fee.
If you have a time sensitive request, please phone your clinic or message us via the Tend app. Otherwise, fill in the form and our team will get back to you as soon as possible (usually within 72 hours)
