How to update your gender and pronouns

You can update your gender selection and pronouns in the Tend app or online under Account settings.

How to update your gender in the Tend app:

1. Click “Account” on the bottom navigation bar
2. Click your name under “Profiles”
3. Change your gender on the fifth line under “Personal Details”
4. You can also add in your pronouns

How to update your gender online:

• Log into your Tend account
• Click 'Account'
• Click your name or child's name
• Click the pencil icon on 'Personal details'
• Update your gender and pronouns

Updating your gender (or other details) in your Tend account won't reflect in your NHI record. If you wish to update your NHI record you will need to contact the Ministry of Health directly on 0800 855 151.
