How do online appointments work?

1. Book an online appointment on the app

You can book to see the next available clinician for same day care or a scheduled online appointment at a time and date that suits you.

2. Check in

You’ll get a reminder notification just before your appointment asking you to check in. Click the check in button to confirm you are ready.

3. Accept video call

At your appointment time you’ll get a secure video call through the Tend app. No other apps are required. Please make sure you are in a safe and private space to take the call. Our clinicians can not talk to you while you are driving.

4. Online consultation

Your doctor or nurse will call you through the Tend app to begin your consultation.

5. Care plan

We'll send you a notification when your appointment notes and any other information from your care team is ready to view in the app. If you were prescribed any medication, your prescription will be sent to your selected pharmacy and we'll notify you when it's ready to be picked up. If you requested an online medical certificate, it will be emailed to you if approved.
